The conversations at Minew Booth rarely started with a product model. Visitors wanted to talk about the questions that appear when an IoT project moves into the real world: battery life, installation, wireless coverage, device management and system integration.
Those practical questions shaped Minew’s presence at The Things Conference 2026, held on September 22 and 23 in Amsterdam.
Minew presented Bluetooth and LoRaWAN hardware for personnel safety, asset tracking, condition monitoring, smart buildings and IoT connectivity. The booth included safety wearables, occupancy sensors, compact asset trackers, monitoring devices and IoT gateways. Visitors could compare different hardware options and discuss how they might fit into existing networks and platforms.
The same focus on practical deployment continued on stage. In the session “Smart IoT Solutions Powered by LoRaWAN,” Minew’s Justina Chen discussed how wearable SOS buttons, location badges, monitoring devices and local alarms can connect into a complete system.
LoRaWAN provides wide-area, low-power and bidirectional communication, but communication coverage is only one part of the system. Positioning requirements change between environments. Minew’s MWC05 Safety Location Smart Badge addresses this by combining LoRaWAN with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scanning for indoor positioning support, plus GNSS for outdoor positioning.
Two Minew wearables also appeared on the IoT Wall of Fame. The MWC05 Safety Location Smart Badge and MWB02 Wearable Panic Button were featured alongside products from across the IoT ecosystem. Both are designed around a practical safety need: helping people share an alert and providing the system with more context for the response.

The main takeaway from Amsterdam was straightforward. The right IoT hardware is not simply the device with the longest feature list. It needs to fit the site, the network, the platform and the way people will actually use it.
